Program Overview
Our 14-week program includes:
Orientation week - with virtual tours of QUT and TAFE
Nationally Recognised Training - complete a Certificate II in Hospitality, as well as receiving industry training with one of our community partners. Certificate II also includes - RSA certificate, RSG Certificate, First Aid & CPR and Barista Training.
One-on-one coaching - set goals, identify your strengths, practise interview skills, and grow in confidence.
Career activities - excursions, incursions and guest speakers, such as: virtual tours of universities and TAFE; practise driving skills online; as well as hear from employers, recruitment agencies and Apprenticeship centres.
Work experience - try out career interests, practice skills employers are looking for, and build your resume.
Graduation ceremony - celebrate your success with family and friends
Eligibility
You are invited to apply for this program if you are a Queensland resident aged 15-19 years, who may be disadvantaged, unemployed or underemployed and meet any one of the following:
experiencing barriers to learning or employment
ineligible for Australian Government employment services or assistance OR have accessed Australian Government services for more than six months and remain unemployed
*priority will be given to young people who are no longer enrolled and have already left school.
